About Educareville

A school that started with two people noticing that young children deserved better care, and never stopped working on it.

Our story

How we started

In 1995, Dr J. Olu Hassan and Mrs Funmi Hassan saw the need to improve the quality of care and education for children in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, and registered Educare Inc. as a company. Mrs Hassan, an early childhood development specialist, has always had a love for children and a passion for education.

In July 1996, Educare Early Childhood Center opened to the public in Beverly Hills on Natural Bridge, and enrolment filled quickly. In 2001, Educare in Hazelwood was established, and again the community benefited from a programme of caring for and nurturing young children. Educare expanded to Creve Coeur in 2006.

This love for early childhood development took a new turn when Dr and Mrs Hassan relocated to Lagos, Nigeria. Fuelled by her passion for education and love of children, Mrs Hassan established Educareville, a government licensed and approved school in Magodo GRA Phase 1, Gateway Zone. She founded it to fulfil her belief that every child deserves a safe, warm and nurturing environment in which to grow.
